The checks inbox and badges

One place for every check

The Activity tab collects everything verification-related in one inbox, grouped by whose turn it is:

  • Your move. Things only you can do right now: review a video someone sent, review an answered challenge, finish your own joining steps, refresh an out-of-date member’s invite.
  • Waiting on others. Things you’ve done your part of: a challenge you sent that hasn’t been answered, a video awaiting another admin, a joiner who chose to verify next time you meet.
  • Recent checks. Settled results, kept for a few days so you can see what happened.

Below the checks sits the general activity feed for the circle: joins, verifications, and other events.

What a badge means

The red badge on the Activity tab, and on the app icon, counts only Your move items. If there’s a number, something is genuinely waiting on you; when you’ve done it, the badge clears itself. Waiting and settled items never badge, so the badge stays meaningful.

If a push notification arrives while the app is closed (someone answered your challenge, someone sent a video to review), the icon badges straight away, and the count corrects itself next time you open the app.

The impersonation notice

One inbox row is special. If someone in your circle challenges a conversation that claims to be you, your inbox shows a quiet notice: they’re checking a message from someone claiming to be you. If that really is you texting them, just answer from the link in your conversation, and nothing else is needed. If it isn’t you, someone is impersonating you right now: call them straight away.
