The plan shape
- Free, forever. One circle of your own, unlimited members, the rotating phrase, verification, challenges, and widgets. A family can be fully protected without paying anything.
- Plus (£1.49/month). Adds the Apple Watch app and complication, and up to 4 circles of your own.
- Pro (£3.99/month). Everything in Plus, with unlimited circles.
How it’s metered
The subscription meters you, not your circles. “Circles of your own” means circles where you’re the admin who created them. Joining someone else’s circle is always free, on any plan, forever; inviting more people to your circle is never gated. Protection spreads freely, and the paid tiers buy convenience (the watch) and breadth (more circles you run).
Downgrading and lapsed plans
Downgrading never deletes anything and never removes anyone. If you own more circles than your new plan covers, you choose which ones stay active. The others stop taking new members and begin a clearly signposted 14-day countdown, visible to everyone in them, during which the circle keeps working normally.
During that countdown, any member can take the circle over on their own plan, keeping it alive for everyone with nothing lost. If nobody does, the circle pauses at the end: the phrase is hidden behind a clear explanation, and everything springs back the moment someone covers it again. Nothing is ever silent, instant, or deleted.
Practical notes
- Subscriptions are handled by Apple through your App Store account: upgrade, downgrade, or cancel any time in the app or in your Apple subscription settings.
- Circles you’ve joined are never affected by your own plan, whatever happens to it.
- Purchases can be restored on a new phone with Restore purchases on the plan screen.
